JetBrains has officially launched Qodana, a cutting-edge code quality platform that aims to revolutionise modern CI-centric workflows.
Qodana is the only code quality platform on the market that leverages inspections native to JetBrains IDEs and extends the smartness of these IDEs to the CI server.
The platform has now transitioned from its preview phase and is now commercially available, offering developers the opportunity to automate code reviews, build quality gates, and enforce code quality guidelines across their projects seamlessly within the JetBrains ecosystem.
Qodana supports the analysis of code written in more than 60 languages, including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Kotlin, Python, Go, and C#.

One of the highlights of the release is the full integration of server-side analysis with almost all JetBrains IDEs, including IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, PhpStorm, PyCharm, Rider, and GoLand.
This integration streamlines the configuration process and allows developers to perform local analysis with just a few clicks. It enables viewing the list of problems across the entire project within the IDE and easily configuring Qodana for establishing quality gates and running server-side checks in the CI/CD system.
Another significant addition is the support for code coverage analysis for Java, Kotlin, PHP, JavaScript, and TypeScript. While running automated tests, Qodana provides developers with insights into how much of the code has been executed, allowing them to identify areas that require more testing and assess the quality of their tests.
Furthermore, Qodana now includes a vulnerability checker powered by Checkmarx data, enabling the detection of vulnerable external packages used in projects. The checker not only highlights security vulnerabilities but also offers remediation insights, enabling developers to take immediate action to address the issues.
For those seeking to boost coding efficiency, Qodana introduces experimental quick fixes for all linters (except .NET). Developers can now apply quick fixes to automatically resolve certain issues and create new pull requests with the applied changes, providing an opportunity for review before committing.
Qodana offers three plans, including a free plan with limited language support, and paid plans starting from $6 per active contributor per month. The most advanced plan, with additional security inspections and license audits, comes with a one-year 50 percent discount.
